Special Surrender Value factors for policies issued under Jeevan Bharati plan (Table no 160).

Jeevan Bharati plan (Table no 160), a Money Back plan for women with Guaranteed Additions and Reversionary Bonuses was introduced w.e.f 8th March 2003 vide our circular Ref: Actl/1861/4 dated 7th March 2003. This plan is for terms 15 & 20 years.

A policy under this plan acquires paid up value after atleast three full years premiums have been paid. Special Surrender Value will be available if both the following conditions are fulfilled:

(1) Premiums have been paid for full three or more years, and
(2) A period of three or more years has elapsed from the date of commencement of the policy.
Some of the offices have been writing to us for paid up value and surrender value payable under these policies. The paid up values under Table no 160 are given in the policy document. It is clarified that the Special Surrender Value factors as given in ‘Table 1A’ of the Special Surrender Value booklet will be used to calculate the Special Surrender Value for policies issued under this plan.
